Event will see 32 participants cycling from Proserv’s HQ in Aberdeen to its Centre of Excellence in Great Yarmouth to raise funds for Mental Health UK and SAMH.

The agreement sees dpUNION as a distributor of Proserv’s sampling solutions across Brazil.

Proserv completes sponsor-backed MBO and announces employee ownership scheme
Proserv has successfully completed a sponsor-backed management buyout (MBO), and is introducing an employee ownership scheme, marking a significant milestone in the company’s 60-year history.
Led by CEO Davis Larssen and CFO Mark Fraser, the multi-million pound deal is backed by GIIL, a UK-based investment vehicle of Glenn Inniss, the founder and owner of the GII Finance Group. For the past two years, GIIL (through its subsidiary GII Finance Group), has supported the financing of the business alongside investment funds and accounts managed by its existing shareholders Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (“Oaktree”) and KKR.
As a result of the transaction, both Oaktree and KKR have exited their equity holdings in Proserv, with Piper Sandler serving as exclusive corporate finance advisor to the sellers.

Mocean Energy and Proserv partner to accelerate decarbonisation of offshore energy
Scottish ocean energy pioneers Mocean Energy and Aberdeen-headquartered leading global controls technology specialists Proserv have signed a working partnership agreement with the aim of accelerating the development of renewables solutions for subsea operations.
Together the two companies will plan and execute new technology for offshore operators in the renewables sector, setting out detailed development plans to collaborate and implement solutions aimed at accelerating the decarbonisation of offshore energy.

Proserv and Verlume agree collaboration on efficient subsea power delivery solutions
Proserv, a leading provider of cutting-edge control technologies to energy companies, has today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Verlume, a leader in intelligent energy management and subsea power solutions for the offshore energy sector. The MoU outlines an agreement to explore collaborative opportunities in the subsea power and renewable sectors, bringing innovative technologies to the rapidly evolving clean energy market.
Under the terms of the MoU, Proserv and Verlume will integrate Proserv’s subsea control and communications systems with Verlume’s energy management and battery technology to improve the efficiency of subsea power delivery.
This enhanced level of system integration will reduce energy consumption by as much as 50% and significantly improve operational flexibility, reliability and reduce costs. By utilising an integrated approach, a unique market offering will be created which aims to provide reliable power to remote, subsea assets.
Together, the companies will explore potential projects that leverage their combined expertise to secure new business, enhance efficiency, and support the global transition to sustainable energy.
The MoU formalizes the commitment between Proserv and Verlume to work together, with the goal of delivering more efficient energy solutions to the market. The partnership will focus on integrating their respective technologies to create value-added opportunities that support both organizations’ growth within the energy transition.

Proserv and SMS launch joint sampling centre in Malaysia
Strategic move follows agreement signed late in 2022 which saw SMS become Proserv’s exclusive agent and representative in the Southeast Asian country. Proserv and SMS announced the rollout of a new Sampling Service Centre, strategically located at SMS’s facility in Kemaman Supply Base (KSB), Terengganu, Malaysia.

Proserv has moved its operations in Saudi Arabia into a new dedicated, state-of-the-art facility in Dammam as part of its roadmap to bolster and extend its expertise for customers and establish itself as the control system solutions partner of choice across the kingdom.

Proserv receives well-deserved recognition in the Services Company of the Year 2023 category. An audience of senior energy industry executives gathered at the London Hilton on Park Lane for the Energy Council’s Awards of Excellence 2023 with Senior Vice President, Iain Smith, representing the team and seeing it selected as one of two runners-up in the Services Company of the Year category.

Laura Carrigan, a Graduate Applications Engineer at our Centre of Excellence in Great Yarmouth, was deservedly chosen as Early Career Professional of the Year by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK). Laura joined Proserv in early 2021 and in less than two years with the company, she has become a key member of our innovative and growing team, contributing significantly to the rollout of our ECG™ holistic subsea cable monitoring system for offshore wind.

Proserv acquires a minority stake in Glasgow based power system monitoring expert, Synaptec, with whom it had initially formed a strategic alliance in October 2020 to drive forward the innovation of disruptive condition-monitoring technologies for the energy sector. Move reinforces Proserv’s proactive pivot towards innovating further disruptive technology solutions for offshore wind and the wider energy segment.

PROSERV AND VIPER INNOVATIONS ANNOUNCE OEM PARTNER COLLABORATION
OEM partner collaboration allows Proserv to incorporate Viper Innovations’ V-LIM and V-SLIM electrical line integrity monitoring equipment to assess the insulation resistance (IR) of cables, as well as activate its V-LIFE Insulation Resistance Recovery preventative and active healing solution, within its cutting-edge energy production control systems and related services.

Proserv acquires Dron & Dickson Electromechanical Contracting (DDEC) LLC, the Middle Eastern business of Dron & Dickson, UK based experts in the supply, assembly and maintenance of hazardous area and industrial electrical equipment.

PROSERV SIGNS HISTORIC AGREEMENT WITH DRIL-QUIP
Proserv and Dril-Quip enter into an agreement where Dril-Quip will rely upon Proserv for the development and manufacturing of its subsea control systems as a supplier. The mutually beneficial arrangement allows Dril-Quip to continue to support its existing subsea controls customers with the support of Proserv.

PROSERV AND SYNAPTEC SIGN STRATEGIC ALLIANCE AGREEMENT
Proserv agrees a strategic alliance with power system monitoring leader Synaptec to develop a cutting-edge integrated holistic cable monitoring system, which will reduce downtime, improve safety and lower operating costs at offshore wind farms.

ABU DHABI FACILITY OPENS
Proserv relocates to an upgraded service centre of excellence. This facility strengthens Proserv’s ability to support existing installed Proserv legacy brand equipment in the region, as well as supplying newly designed systems, further ensuring the local, rapid availability of service support.

CUMBERNAULD FACILITY OPENS
New global centre of excellence for our measurement offering provides onsite FEED and site surveys, metering control system design, site installation, commissioning and start up, 24/7 metering system support, system health checks and obsolescence management.

SKENE FACILITY OPENS
Proserv’s Skene facility opens. The base, located within proximity to clients in SURF city (subsea, umbilical, risers & flowlines), boasts 72,000 sq ft of yard space, and 50,000 sq ft of available workshops. The move allows Proserv to focus on growing its successful IWOCS offering.

PROSERV OPENS SUBSEA CONTROLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN GREAT YARMOUTH
The move saw 183 employees consolidate from two sites in the area into the new 65,000 sq ft site. Named after the site’s ‘Artemis 2G’ (A2G) subsea control system technology, the facility is Proserv’s flagship centre of excellence for subsea engineering.

WORLD FIRST IN SUBSEA SAMPLING CYLINDER (SSC) TECHNOLOGY
Proserv designed and built the world’s first fully qualified and certified ‘for shipping’ sample cylinder for use in a subsea environment. The SSC enables well operators to capture samples safely and efficiently from a subsea producing well enabling accurate well properties capture throughout the lifetime of a field.
